THE BUTTERFLY

Hi, it's finally Friday. Today, I received an invitation from Priscilla at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge, to join a new community of crafters called Crafters Digital Art Center.
The site is dedicated to Digital Stamp Artists and crafters who enjoy using Digi Stamps. It's brand new and anyone can now join. Several Artist have already joined and are offering free digial images. Go check it out. There is already a challenge going on.
Today's card is for just that challenge! I have used a digi image by Priscillastyles. There is a link to her store site on the right, but she is offering this image free on the new site. I colored with Copics and colored an extra top wing to pop up. Flowers are by Prima. Paper is by Cosmo Cricket. Faux stitching along the edge. Music stamp in corners of butterfly. The sentiment stamp is by Impression Obsession. I used Star Dust stickles on the butterfly wings and branches.
Hope you had a great Friday. Thanks so much for stopping by. Until later............

CAT BATH

Hot and Humid again here today! Today's card is for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge. (103)The challenge this week is "In the Garden"

Colored the image with Copics. Background sky and grass done with Blow Pens. Border punch is Martha Stewart. Flowers and Ivy are from the Bridal Department at Michaels. Added Rhinestones and bow. Distressed edges of image and mats with scissor edge.

My new fish are comfortable in their new setting now and come to the top to feed. All the fish are again coming to the top to feed when we go out by the pond. No Heron sightings for a week or so now, but word has it they can be gone a long time and come back just like that. Still have the pond netted and the new scarecrow sprinkler system on at all times.

Hope you had a great Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by. Until later..................

Joy-Fold Card Outside

Inside of card.
Hello, it's finally Friday! Today's card is for the Challenge at Sassy Cheryl's. I so love these two adorable images and what a dream they were to color and create with. I have made a Joy-Fold card. The Designer Paper is from Daisy D. I colored with Copics and distressed the edges with Ranger Distress ink, Spiced Marmalade. I used a Martha Stewart Border punch to create the lace border and the punched flowers. The theme this challenge was to use punches. I'm not an orange person, but I like the orange and blue combo.
I'm also entering this in the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge, which is make a card that makes someone smile.
Cheryl is having a sale on digi stamps until Monday. Have a great rest of the day. Until later.......

The Color of Love

They are walking the red carpet as a finale to the week long blog anniversary at the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. And this is the little number I chose to "do the walk"!

It matches my card for this week!!!!!!!!!

As my friend in Texas always says "It's hotter than the hinges of hell here"! The humidity and heat are awful.

Yesterday I went to the Fish Store to get some pond plants and I succumbed to three beautiful new fish. We have done some remedial things to the pond to secure it from the Heron, but the guy in the Fish Store says it's like when you take a trip and eat at a certain place and love it, the next time you take that trip you remember exactly where it was!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot guy!!!

And to top it all off, we have a pair of robins trying to make a next on the patio. I have knocked it down so many times you would think they would get the idea!!!!

This beautiful Stamp is by Rubbernecker. I have used papers by Me and My Big Ideas. Border punch is Martha Stewart. I used Tombow Markers to color.

The Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge is wrapping up a month-long Blog-anniversary party this week. The Design Team has come up with an award aptly called, The Priscilla Award named after the Blog creator. They have chosen 20 people who have won the Gold Star Award over the past year and you can go to the site and vote for your choice to win this award. I am honored to be on that list. So, if you if you would like to support me for this award, you can vote here. The award is going to be presented annually. The other 19 ladies are amazing and whoever wins will be deserving of this award, so much talent.

Thanks for stopping by today. Until later.
