BSS-Monday Challenge - A Card with a favorite recipe.

Good Monday Morning, time for another Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Challenge.  Today's challenge is to make a card or project using a favorite recipe.  I have used a recipe that I made for the first time last weekend to take to an outdoor birthday party.  I made a triple batch and at the end of the day, not a drop was left!  My grandchildren love this and were disappointed that there were no leftovers.  Here in Buffalo, we are known for our hot chicken wings and this dip tastes like them.

The Apron image is from Lockhart Stamp Company and I have paper pieced it.  The background cooking utensil stamp is by Great Impressions.  The inside sentiment which I forgot to photograph says "A Kitchen is a gathering place where warm memories are made with family and friends".  Also by Great Impressions.  Papers are by My Mind's Eye, Home.

Hope you have a chance to make a card using a favorite recipe.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Monday.  Until later.............

Gone to the Beach

Hope you're enjoying your Sunday.  Wonderful day yesterday, humidity finally dropped and it was so nice.  On it's way up again today, but had a little rain.

Today's card is for the Penny Black Challenge #113, On the Beach.  I have used the Kitty floating on the
water image, colored with Copics.  The palm tree is All Night Media.  Distress inks were sponged on to create sand, water, and clouds.  Stickles was run over the top of white gel pen to create shoreline.  Flowers are by Prima.  Fish are a punch.  Glittered paper from DCWV Glitter stack.  Sentiment is from dollar bin at Michael's.  Added a couple real seashells to the beach.  Centers of the flowers are from Martha Stewart.

Thanks for stopping by.  Until later..............

Special Moments

Hi, was working on this card yesterday and after I colored up the beautiful image by Michelle Perkett Studio, nothing I put it with was right, so....I put it aside and when I got back to it today, it went together.  Hate when that happens.  Unfortunately, I always color the image first then find papers and embellishments to go with after...........I know, backwards to most, but it's what I do!

I made a simple easel card.  Minimal embellishments.  Lots of Stickles on the image. Glitter paper behind the image, and used to punch flowers.

I'm entereing this in the Flutter-by Wednesday Challenge.

Hope you have a great Saturday.  Thanks for stopping by.  Until later................

DOWN ON THE FARM

This is a recording, it is still hot and sticky and I'm getting really crabby!!!!!!  Well, they are promising lower humidity for the next few days...........we'll see.

Today's card is for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  The challenge this week was to make a card with a theme to go with a song title.  I chose "Down on the Farm", no, not the Bob Evans commercial, the song by
Tim McGraw!!!

The image is, of course, Tilda by Magnolia holding a pig.  The fence is also a Magnolia image (thanks, Steph)
Papers are My Mind's Eye, Simply Delightful.  I have colored with Copic Markers.  The flower is Prima.  The gingerbread corner is a Sizzix corner die.  The bird stick pin is K&Company.  The sentiment is computer generated.  I sponged the oval background with distress inks.  The faux stitching is a stamp by Hero Arts. The yellow chick's border is Martha Stewart.

The sketch layout is one provided each Friday by my local stamp store and Elisabeth.

Hope you had a great Thursday.  Until later..................

FEATHER BED-HOUSE MOUSE CHALLENGE # 76 - VINTAGE

Close up of mice!

Hi, and welcome to the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge #76.  The challenge this time was chosen by our Teammate, Heather and she chose VINTAGE.  The challenge will run through Sunday, August 15th.  One lucky winner chosen at random will receive the HM stamp, Cast of Characters.

I chose the stamp called Feather Bed.  Love the little mice sleepily peeking out from under the hen.  I started with a gray base card.  I added a layer of weathered wood paper, then a layer of polkadotted paper by Graphic 45.  I stamped the weathered wood panel with a chicken wire stamp.  I stamped and colored the house mouse stamp with Copics and cut it out and mounted it on the panel.  A yellow gingham ribbon that I distressed and some yellow flowers that were pulled from a silk bush and a bow were added.  I finished up this card with four corner brads that look like screws.

There are some fantastic design team cards by my teammates at House Mouse and Friends, so take a look, then get your HM stamps out and join the fun.

Thanks for stopping by.  Until later.
