BSS MONDAY IDEA - Tab Side Card

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's card is a tab side card.  I saw it on pinterest and went with my own design, since there was no tutorial.  But I did find one on Dawns Stamping Thoughts Blog, Here

Card Recipe

What I used
Papers - Green and White cardstock
Designer paper is Graphic 45 Little Darlings Collection
Stamp - Wild Rose Studio - Mouse on Presents C1373
All die cuts Spellbinders Gold Labels Four S5-159
small butterflies are a small paper shapers punch
Cuttlebug embossing Folder
Versamark onyx black used to stamp image,
clear embossing powder
White embossing powder for sentiments
Colored with Copics

Base card is cut at 5 x 8 inches scored at 5 inches
The short side is the front of the card.
For the tab, I used the third smallest die from the set
and cut it in half lengthwise.  Lay the tab in place on the
card, centering each piece, so they touch.  Adhere
the left side under the mat on the front panel and on the right
side under the panel on the inside of the card.
Punched a medium round hole on each side to feed the ribbon through.
If you have a tab die or punch use it, but you can use any shape,
even a half circle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later..........

Purr-fectly happy

Hi friends.  Turned out to be a nice day, cool, but sunny as opposed to all the rain we got yesterday.

More and more I am seeing flowers finally popping up, tulips, daffodils, and crocus.  So nice to see.

I bought this adorable stamp awhile ago on clearance on line and just now getting around to using it.
I don't put them away until I ink them up and make a card first, have a whole shoe box of stamps waiting for me...........not enough hours in the day, and I'm retired.

Have been doing some genealogy again and once you get into it, hours pass quickly and before you know it, it's the middle of the night, but pleased with what I have found in the last week.

On to the card..............

Such a sweet stamp.......

BSS MONDAY IDEA - Pop Up Box Card

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Card in a Box

If you troll the internet and others blogs often, you probably have seen these adorable
Card in a box designs.  What fun they are to make, and the best thing is, they fold flat for mailing.

Here  is a link to the directions for this card on Split Coast Stampers.
http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/popupboxcard/

The first set of directions make a card that needs a 6x9 envelope to mail, but just
below those instructions are the measurements for a standard A2 card.
This is a great link because it has step by step pictures AND a video.

Here is my card.

This is the front of the card.

Front turned slightly.

The back of the card.  Room to write a message and sign.

Card folded closed (hard to photograph, but it does fold
flat.

Looking down into the card, so you can see how the decorations you
add to the box look.

Card Recipe

Stamps - A gift for you - Penny Black (hedge hog) (1447H)
Sentiment on the back - Stampendous (47598)
Papers - It's a celebration by Carta Bella 6x6 inch pad
Base card is mint green pearlecent card stock
Dies - Candles on the sides - Elizabeth Craft Designs (732 Candles)
Punches - Party Hats and Cake - Paper Shapers, Cupcakes, EK Success
Small butterflies are the cutouts from an EK Success border punch.
I used small strips of Acrylic to mount them on so they wiggle when you open the
card, giving the illusion of flight.
Balloons is an old stamp no longer available.
Flowers - Prima tiny flowers
Stickles, Star Dust, yellow, red, and green.

The box goes together quickly and decorating is so much fun.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Until later.

The Butterfly

Hi friends.  Hope you're enjoying your Sunday.

I made this card for today with some new bling I just received in the mail.

I have the Wonderful Wings Butterfly dies from Spellbinders, and just found
out this week from Linda Lucas (Lovely Linda) who designs for Spellbinders, who makes these
dies that a company called Want2Scrap sells rhinestones that exactly fit some of
the spellbinders dies, including the butterflies.  I ordered them one day this week and
they came in the mail today.  I also order some others in pearls and rhinestones on clearance for
.99 cents each.  I'm in love.

Stamp - Impression Obsession
Paper - DCWV
Die - Marianne Designs
Leaf Branch - Cottage Cutz
Butterfly - Spellbinders
Bling on Butterfly - Want 2 Scrap

Close up of the beautiful bling on the butterfly.

First Communion Card

Hi friends, hope you're enjoying your weekend.  Damp and rainy day here today, but the sun is trying to peek out from the clouds.  Good day to spend in the craft room.

I made this card for a little friend who is making his First Communion tomorrow.  His Mom is one of my Godchildren.  Time flies!!

A simple card.
A 5x7"  light blue card base from Stampin' Up
Spellbinders Die (S5-189) in white card stock
Center section sponged on the edges with light blue dye ink
Beautiful Cross die is Tattered Lace (D118)
I cut it from some thick silver mirror card stock.
All of the cutouts in the cross didn't cut on the first pass
through, but I liked it so much, I didn't run it through again
and used it intact.  It is very intricate when you
do cut all the small cuts in the cross.

That's it for me today.  Have a great Saturday.  Thanks for stopping by today.
Until later..........

CHALLENGE Prize is a $12 Gift Voucher to Di's shop.
Di's BIO:  {I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like-minded people.  I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself. This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue! }
