Christmas Doves

Hello, hope your Sunday is going well.  Was out all day yesterday shopping, grocery, then my niece called and wanted to know if I wanted to go for some retail therapy, and of course I did.  Was nice to shop with her for her little Grandkids for Christmas and I picked up some things for myself.

I am trying to make Christmas cards that will go through the mail without
having to add a ton of postage.  Got four new dies from Tutti, a new brand
to me at Bitsey on line.  Here is one of them.

The die is Tutti
Backed with gold glitter paper
and green and red card stock for the holly corners
mounted on Gold Mirror Paper
Corners are a die by La La Land
Gold Mirror Holly die is Impression Obsession
Snowflake is Tim Holtz
White card stock base is 5x7 inches

It is pouring rain here today, and dark and dingy.
Off to the craft room to create!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a wonderful day.  Until later...

Christmas Village

Hello friends.  Taking Keeya to the Vet this afternoon for her yearly checkup.
Not her favorite thing to do.

Today's card is really simple.  I used one of the new 3D embossing
folders from Crafters Companion called Christmas Village.  All
I did was run it through the machine, ink it with some blue dye ink,
and mount it on a blue card base (5x7 inches) with a white mat.

I added a poinsettia die cut flower with some silver mirror leaves and
branches to one corner, that's it.

These embossing folders are awesome, I am in love with them.
Bought a couple more you will be seeing during the holidays.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later....

Christmas Ornaments

Trying to get some Christmas cards made this week.  I must be stuck on ornaments, as I bought
three dies with ornaments recently.  Here is one of them............

Closeup of  card front

The ornament is a Stamp & Die Set by Spellbinders (SDS-090)
The snowflake swirl stamp is  Inkadinkado.
I have been playing with the new Oxide Inks from
Tim Holtz and that is what the background is.  After the ink dried,
I stamped the snowflake swirl then the ornament  with Versamark
ink and embossed with white embossing powder.
Added rhinestones and sequins.
Also added a row of rhinestones at the top and bottom of the card.

I am loving the oxide inks, such fun to play around with and
they blend so beautifully.  Plan on seeing more of them soon, I made
a bunch of background pieces to use!!!

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day.  Until later.....

BSS IDEA - Pine Cone

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Do you love it when the leaves turn beautiful colors of red, gold, and
orange, and the days get cooler?  Me too, but not so much when
they start to fall from the trees and the raking begins.  We have
two old Horse Chestnut trees in our front yard and the chestnuts are
enjoying a bumper crop this year.  Squirrels and young children are
enjoying this fact, me, not so much. I have raked and bagged ten
large clear garbage bags of the chestnuts, their prickly outer shells,
and their massive leaves.  AND, only about half the tree has shed it's
fall bounty.........ugh...

This week, I have a beautiful Pine Cone stamped image
for you.

Stamp - Penny Black - Cones and Berries (40-495)
Paper - Fawn Lawn - Plaid, white card stock.
Frame die is Spellbinders, Branching Out.  I have
had it for awhile so don't know if it is still available.
Using the Misti, Stamped image Using several
colors of brown, starting with the lightest and
using Tombow Brush Markers, added darker
tones on a second stamping where I wanted
them.  Then colored in the rest of the image.
I then inked the image with Versamark Watermark
ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
This allows you to create the background without
worrying about getting ink on the image.
Background was sponged with light blue
die ink, leaving the center white to add brightness
to the image.
I added Crystal Stickles to the area along the ground
along the branches and pine cone.
White liquid pearls finished it off with lightly
falling snow.
Colored with Copics, card is 5x7 inches.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later.......
