BSS IDEA - PAPER PIECED HAPPY BIRTHDAY

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF IDEA.

Welcome back to another BSS IDEA.

We are in for some HOT days this week, so crank up

the AC or Fan and stay inside and create!

This week's card is a word stamp and I decided to

paper piece the words VERY HAPPY.

Stamp - Stampendous - Great Big Happy (CRW199)

Papers - Kraft and Royal Blue card stock, designer paper

BoBunny Serendipity Aviary

White embossing powder

Base card is 51/2 by 12 inchs Royal Blue card stock, tent fold.

Designer paper mat is 51/4x 53/4 inches

I stamped and embossed the word stamp with white

embossing powder.

I stamped the stamp again onto the designer paper and also

embossed with white EP.

I cut out the words Very Happy from the designer paper

and glued them on the Royal Blue card stock I had

stamped and embossed in white EP.

Then, I cut around the image on the Royal Blue

Paper and popped it up with pop dots and adhered

it to the card.

I cut a frame that would fit around the image

from Kraft paper using spellbinders rectangle dies,

and slid it in around the image and glued it in place.

I was looking forward to coloring this image up, but then

got this idea and I am glad I did, I like how it turned out.

papers, like fun kids cards and guy cards.

Bio.

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I now work as a Medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4yrs ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but I’m afraid I got the bug! My daughter preferred scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with like minded people.

I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so I started to draw myself.

This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images, and its just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful works of art. Long may it continue!

BSS IDEA - Pinata Treat Holders

Another week already!  Hope everyone had a nice 4th of July.

A person that lives across the street from us whom I never met, shoots

off fire crackers like you go to see at a park!  Well our poor dog

is scared to death of them and has been traumatized so badly

these past few day, poor thing...and it's not over yet.  Last night

the boom was so loud at 11:30 pm it shook the house and scared me

too!  What is wrong with people.

Assorted ribbon, star trim, and self stick flat beads

I used Skittles to fill them.

This is a die set.  It is kinda fussy to put together, but this is what I

learned:

Use a low temp glue gun

Cut two of each piece of fringe trim for each box

Use a heavy weight card stock for the body.

I used card stock for the fringe, but I am thinking

that text weight might be better, will have to try it.

BSS IDEA - Potted Flowers

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

WOW, was it hot yesterday or what!!! And more to

come all this week.  Stay hydrated and use your

sun screen. With the holiday on Wednesday, be careful

you don't get a bad sunburn.

I did some fussy cutting this week, and I mean fussy!

WOLF TRIO

Hi blogging friends.  Have been super busy with completely redoing our living room over

the past few weeks.  So many decisions.  New carpet was installed on Thursday and

furniture to arrive on Monday.  Can't wait to put up all the new decorations and

things to put on my new tables.  But, will be glad when it is all done and we

can just sit and enjoy it.  We are getting too old for all this!!!!!!

This is a card I made for Father's day for my husband.  We became very

interested in Wolves about 20 years ago and used our vacation time to

travel to different states where they had captive wolf packs.  They are

awesome animals.

This is an old stamp from a company that is no longer in business (Arizona Stamps 2)

I colored with Copics and sponged the background with distress inks. Left the card 

simple so the magnificent wolves were the stars!
