Spooky Night

Happy Tuesday everyone.  On Saturday and Sunday, the Stamp and Scrap Tour was here.  I got some new stamps, dies and some new inks, powders and glazes to play with.

Today's card is a Halloween card, made with stamps from JUST FOR FUN Rubber Stamps.

I inked a piece of glossy white card stock with dye and distress inks and a sponge
applicator.  I placed a circle on the card before I started so ended up with a
white moon when I lifted it off after inking the rest of the paper.

Trees and Trick or Treaters are new stamps from Just For Fun.  The Bat
is from a Mega Marvy Halloween Punch.  Sentiment  is from the dollar bin
at Michaels.

Thanks for stopping by today for a peek.  Have a great day.  Until later...........

BSS MONDAY IDEA - THREE TIMES THE CHARM

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

Happy Monday, the last one in August!
Hope you had a chance to go to the Stamp Show
at the Hamburg Fair Grounds this past weekend.
I thought it was really packed on Saturday and
there was a good blend of vendors.  And of course,
our very own Sharon Klima, and the Buffalo
Stamps and Stuff  Booth was chucked full of
wonderful stamps and dies, papers and embellishments.

This week's card, is a simple one, but a really nice technique.
I chose a beautiful piece of paper with wonderful flowers
and colors and a complimentary piece of colored card
stock.  The base card is 51/2 inches square.  I then cut
a mat from the designer paper.  Then a mat of the card
stock and another mat of the designer paper.  Finally
a mat of the card stock.  Stamped the beautiful flower
popped it up with the stamped leaves underneath.  I then
dotted around the flower and leaves with white
liquid pearls.  Simple and elegant.

Stamp set used is Altenew Peony Bouquet
Matching dies used also
Card stock , Soft Peach
Designer Paper - Graphic 45, Sweet Sentiments Collection.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek today.
Have a great week.

BSS IDEA - Christmas in August

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

I suppose with all the HOT weather we have had this summer, Christmas
is the farthest thing from your mind.  But, if you want to make your
Christmas cards, you need to get started early, and the store is
brimming with new stamps and dies.

I chose this wonderful stamp and die set from Stampendous.
The stamp set includes three birds, the berry branch, the holly sprig
and a free stencil of the tree.

The die set includes the bird dies and the holly sprig die.

Stamp Set - StampendousWinter Tweets (CR55092)
Inside Sentiment Stamp - Northwoods Rubber Stamps
Die Set - Stampendous - Winter Tweets (DC55092)
White card base is 41/4x51/2inches
Paper - White, Red, and light Blue card stock
I stenciled the tree onto the side of the card
with a finger sponge using grey and black ink
Added white embossing powder to areas I wanted
snow using a Versamark embossing pen.
Stamped the berry branch several times and colored in
with Copic marker
Bird was colored with Copics and cut with the die set.
Popped him up on the branch.
I  used a Color Box cat eye ink pad to brush
across the card to look like blowing snow.
A white Sharpie Poster Paint Marker to dot the card
for the snow effect.

What a fun set these little birds are.  The other little birds
look like a robin and a chickadee.

No time like now to start thinking about making your
Christmas cards.

Don't forget, the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff will have
a booth at the Scrap and Stamp Show at the Hamburg
Fair Ground on Saturday and Sunday.  Sharon has
discount tickets in the store, and she always has
a lot of new stuff at the show.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day
Until later........

BSS IDEA - A bunch of Daisies

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

I planted two pots of daisies in my gardens this summer,
and at the beginning, they bloomed over and over.  Since
it has been so hot for so many days on end despite keeping them
watered, they have kinda fizzled out.

I bought this set of stamps with the daisy bunch awhile back, and
thought I would make this weeks card with it.

For some reason, yellow and daisies always seem to
brighten up your day.

Stamps - Stampendous Clear Stamps -Daisy Thanks
This set includes the sentiment, the butterfly and
the daisies, plus a couple little lady bugs and
a swirl stamp.

Yellow card stock (card base is 51/2 x 4 1/4)
Yellow embossed mat is 51/4 x 4
White embossed mat with daisies is 31 /4 x 4 3/4
Embossing folders - Cuttlebug Swiss Dots
We  R memory Keepers Next Level, Quilted
Gingham ribbon
Yellow Stickles

I stamped the daisies with Versafine Onyx ink and heat
embossed with clear embossing powder, twice, once centered
on the white 3 1/4x4 3/4 inch mat (the very edges of the leaves
on either side will stamp off the paper, that's the plan, so that
when you add the fussy cut piece over top of it the leaves will hang
over the edge of the mat.) and again on a scrap piece
of white card stock, along with the butterfly to fussy cut out.

I then colored with copics.  Then I cut out the pieces that
were stamped on the scrap piece. Then I ran a black marker
around the edges to finish them off.

I ran the mat with the daisies stamped on it through the
Swiss Embossing folder. Tie a bow across the bottom
of the mat.

I ran the yellow mat through the Quilted embossing folder.

I outlined each flower center and each leaf with a stylus
being careful not to puncture the paper. I then turned the
stamped ,colored, and cut out image over and rubbed
the centers and leaves with the stylus lightly in a circular motion
on a piece of thin foam.
This raises the centers and shapes the leaves.

Using pop dots in the center of the flowers, I attached the cut
out flowers over the one you stamped
and ran through the swiss dot EF.

Adhere the white mat to the Quilted mat.  Then attach  that
to the card base.  Add the butterfly and put some Stickles on her.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.  Until later.......

BSS IDEA - Using words as the focal point

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Idea.

This weeks card uses a sentiment stamp as the focal point of
the card.  When you find that stamp with a sentiment that
really touches your heart,  you want it to be the star of the card.

That's how I felt about this sentiment.

A simple card.

Card base is pale pink card stock

BSS IDEA - BE YOUR "SELFIE"

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

I saw this idea on a tutorial on Split Coast Stampers and just
could not wait to share with you.

As we all know, selfies are a way of life now..
Everyday we see them on social media and if
your out and about you see folks taking pictures of
themselves and friends all the time.

Well, this has now been brought to the stamping world!
What a fun idea and so many possibilities.

First, here is my "selfie card"

How fun right?
Check out your background stamps and
have fun with this idea.  I almost put the
crazy birds in Paris, but changed it to
this lake view stamp.

Stamps - Crazy Birds, Tim Holtz Sissix
Background Stamp - Impression Obsession J7789
Inside Sentiment from  the Stampingbella set EB303
Samantha and Sierra take a selfie

I stamped on glossy paper and used
distress inks and the sponge applicator to
color it in.
I colored and die cut the birds and positioned them
on the background.

This is such a fun card to make, and
the young people in your life will love
it.

Thanks for stopping by today.
Have a great day.
Until later...........
