Tilda Violinist

Hello.  My hubby finally had his surgery to repair the rotator cuff in his shoulder yesterday.  It is the second surgery.  He went through it in March 2009 and the surgery failed and everything they did came undone.  Yesterday was a long day, we had to be there at 6 a.m.  He came home immediately after he recovered for a very short time and mostly slept the day away.  He is hooked up to cooling machine which runs cold ice water to a pad that is over the shoulder.  Today was a better day, he ate and did some exercises that they gave him to do.  He is hating the pain meds, they make him feel loopy.  He has a six month recovery ahead of him, so we are hoping for the very best outcome, movement without pain.  So, I am being the very best nurse I can be, without the proper training!!!!

Today"s card which took me all day in between nursing duties!!!,  is for the challenge at Magnolia Down Under #65.  The challenge this week is Flowers and Lace. And the Magnlia Stamp Lovers Challenge which is Lace.

I made a joy-fold card using paper by K & Company, Life's journey.  The flowers are cut from a silk bush I bought at AC Moore.  The lace is from Joann's.  The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage Farms.  Ribbon is from my stash.  The flourish is a Sizzix die.  The oval die on the final page is a new die from Nellie Snellen.  The decorative corners are from a punch by Paper Shapers.  The music background stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great Wednesday.  Until later..............

Gorgeous card Sue - those flowers are beautiful, sometimes I think the silk ones I buy to take apart can look better - but don't tell anyone else!

I hope hubby is feeling ok and your nursing duties are allowing you to squeeze a little more crafting in.

Hello Sue~ get well wishes being sent to your hubby.
I am playing catch up on your blog and boy you have been busy. And yet still with playing nurse you have made time to create such lovely masterpieces. I so love this Tilda violinist for so many reasons. My little plays violin so this just seem like such a darling card. The colors, the image, the ribbon, everything is simply stunning!
Take care.
