Welcome to the February Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge.
First, we want to thank everyone for their participation in last month's challenge! There were over 200 entries, and a lot of beautiful cards and projects........we were all impressed. It made choosing the winners so difficult.
This month we are being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps. And Kellie Winnell has graciously offered the gals on the FW Design Team several images to use for this challenge. I chose this adorable little guy called Wilfred Wombat.
So, for those of us who don't hail from Australia, what is a Wombat you ask?
Well, I went online and looked it up. Seems the little guy is a marsupial, you know, like a kangaroo, with a pocket. But, because he burrows tunnels, he has a backwards pouch, so that while digging, he doesn't gather dirt in the pouch over the young! God is Good!
And, here he is in real life! Remind you of an American Ground Hog, without the pouch that is?
Here is a close up of Wilfred. Poor boy is crying.
Lace flowers with blue paper behind them.
He forgot your birthday!
Yep, the challenge for this month is BIRTHDAY WISHES. I started with a white embossed Bazzill card stock . I have used papers by Basic Gray. The darling Wombat image is cut from a Spellbinder's label die with a blue sparkly mat. The round blue embellishments are Martha Stewart. The sentiment is by TLC. I colored Wilfred with Copics. Distressed the edges with Frayed Burlap Distress ink. Ribbon is from my stash. The Sorry I Missed it sentiment is a Cuttlebug die. Gotta love those sad eyes.
My teammates on the design team have come up with some beautiful cards and projects for your inspiration.
Check them out on the Fuzzy Wuzzy site, then using the animal of your choice, enter a card in the challenge, using this month's theme of birthday wishes.
Can't wait to visit you to see what you have come up with. Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great Friday and enjoy the weekend. Until later..................
