Friends Always

Hi fellow bloggers.  I'm about to get started on sewing up the chair covers for my daughter's first grade class, got them all cut out and ready to go yesterday.  We finally figured out the perfect size and now it's just a matter of getting them made.

 

I made this card for my dear friend who is having a big birthday this year.  We met in California when our husbands were in the Military and have remained friends all these years later.  When we get together (she lives in Texas, I live in New York) which isn't often, or talk on the phone (it's often) it's like we can pick up right where we left off.  So, although we didn't know each other when we were kids, I thought this set from Squigglefly was perfect for her birthday.

 

 

 

I didn't use embellishments because I love these digi's by Lynn Stansberry to much, that I like to let them be the main focus of the card.  These litle gals putting on nail polish is just so sweet, I love it.

And, the sentiment on the inside came with .  I made this for the challenge at Squigglefly, but didn't get it posted in time and I see they didn't have a winner because no one used a Squigglefly image, drat!

 

 

 

Really simple card.  Started with pale blue card stock and a polka dot card stock.  Corners are a punch and border punch is Stampin' Up.  Colored with Copics, sponged with blue dye ink.
