BSS MONDAY IDEA - TIN FOIL BACKGROUNDS AND DIE CUTS

WELCOME TO THE BUFFALO STAMPS AND STUFF MONDAY IDEA.
This weeks idea is Tin Foil Backgrounds and die cuts.
So, get out the Reynold's Wrap and let's have some fun.
This is a simple technique with a real WOW factor!
Cut a piece of card stock (doesn't matter what color, so use your scraps) the
size you need for your background or die cut. Use a glue stick and glue the back of the card stock and adhere to the unshiny side of the aluminum foil. Turn it over and
smooth out the foil on the card stock.
Next, using alcohol inks and the applicator with a felt pad, pounce ink onto
the foil until your happy with the look (if it is too dark, use a couple of drops of
the blending solution on the felt pad and go over it again. Let this dry, it dries pretty quickly, so by the time you do another sheet it will be ready to use.
Now, run it through an embossing folder. You have a great background or
sheet to use for a die cut.
This was a fun card to make.
Stamp - Art Impressions - UMT3468
Sentiment - Printworks - E3927
Colored with Copics
Background is Ranger Alcohol Inks - Stream, Denim and Stonewashed
with a touch of the blending solution
Embossing folder is water by Sizzix
I used an Action Wobbler Spring in back of the image so they
bobble like they are in the water when you move the card.

I love this one too!
Alcohol Inks used - Lettuce and Meadow
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder
Sizzix Butterfly #2 (656552)
Alcohol Inks used for butterfly - Butterscotch, then Black
Cuttlebug Embossing folder Butterflies

Alcohol ink used, Red Pepper and Cranberry
Embossing Folder - Courture Creations - Compassionate
Dies - Lovely Peony Outline - Memory Box 98482
cut from red glitter paper
Traced the outline on white card stock and cut out.
Distress inked the edges of the white and glued the outline
onto it. Glued one to the top right side and popped the other one
up with pop dots.
Cottage Cutz - Bella Leafy Branch CCE003
Don't forget, you can click on each pictures to get a closer look.
I made six sheets while I had the supplies out, that way I have some
for the next time I want to use this technique on a card.
Hope you have a chance to try this technique.
Thanks for stopping by today. Until later.............

Wow Sue - some really great illustrations of this wonderfully fun technique. Love the first one as those characters just make me laugh! The other two are very pretty too. Great work and great idea. I am guessing the inks would work on metal tape too - I need to try it. Hugz!
