Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is a pretty little gift box and a look at embossing on vellum.

I made this little box with a pattern on Split Coast Stampers.

You could easily decorate a small gift box you already have.

This view is from the top.

The box top is from white card stock.

With a scalloped punched trim attached to the

edge.  I embossed a piece of vellum the size of the top of

the box and attached it to the top for extra texture.

Here are two pieces of vellum run through a Darice and a Cuddlebug folder.

This one is a Cuddlebug (Anna Griffin) embossing folder.

What I used

Light Pink, green and white card stock

Die - Tattered Poinsettia (Alterations) Sizzix.

Matching Embossing Folder by Sizzix, which

puts the details on the leaves.

Darice swirling snowflake embossing folder.

Punch - EK Success scallop edge for trim on box top.

Pearl  trim from Bridal Dept at Michaels.

Small pieces of glittered net rolled and adhered with 

glue into the leaves of the poinsettia.

Center is small silver beads

OR, you can decorate a small gift box.

I didn't punch the top of the box edge, I punched a small

edge with the punch and glued it to the edge of the box top after it was put

together.

After cutting and embossing the leaves, I used WOW sparkly white

embossing powder on  them for extra shimmer.

I glued the embossed vellum piece to the top of the box.

The Poinsettia leaves (there are three layers) were popped up in the center of 

the lid.

Glued the pearl strings and net in the leaves.

Who wouldn't want to receive a small gift or gift card in a lovely box

like this.  You could use any flower for any occasion.
