Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.
Today, I'm sharing a simple card, letting this wonderful stamped image speak
for itself. Whether you guess that the boy stops on his way home from school, or
that he actually skips going on to school and takes one of the last nice warm Fall days
to relax and fish you have to just love the story this stamp tells, however
you interpret it.
Close up of stamped image.
My finished card.
Stamp - Impression Obsession-G1996
Inside Sentiment - Just Rite Clear Set-Colorful Brush Strokes CR02143
The small words Escape and Explore are old tiny stamps that came
in sets, and Sharon started to break up the sets and sell them
separately so you could pick and choose the words you liked.
Sorry, I don't remember who make them.
Die - Spellbinders Rectangle Die, but you could cut your own
Gray, blue, white card stock, and the yellow designer paper
is a piece of card stock from DCWV.
Corners were punched out with a Fiskars corner punch
Onyx Liquid pearl dots on curved corners
So they are all uniform, Do a dot on each end
of the curve and one in the middle, then one
in between the end and middle one on each side.
Yellow twine
Used Wild honey and vintage photo distress in to ink the edges
of the designer paper.
This little guy has the right idea, take the time to do
more of what YOU want to do.
Thanks for your visit today. Have a great day. Until later.....

Donna, I love the finished card. The orange/yellow really stands out and lifts the image.
Hope you have a good start to the week. Sue
Fantastic card, Sue. I would like to think he is stopping on his way home, but he most likely spent the day fishing. I love the two words you went with here and I really love the corner treatments. I've never thought of that, but for sure you will see me CASE that idea. Have a fun day.
Sue, this is such a fun detailed image! I know it would be perfect for the guys in my family! I love how you've arranged the wording on your design! Brilliant make! HUGS

Hi Sue, beautiful image and card. I like to think that he is skipping school, I'm a firm believer that you learn more away from school anyway, Kate x

Great summer time image, Sue - Of course, it is perfect year-round in these parts. It's still in the mid 80s here, and high humidity, but I'm grateful for the pleasant sunshine. Hope all is going well for you.
Back to your card LOL
loving the layers you put with this image - very engaging! hugs, de
