BSS MONDAY IDEA - GOT INTERNET

Hi friends.  Well today is the first day I have had a land line and internet since Saturday.  Since our provider was on strike, they couldn't fix it until today when they finally came back to work.  And now tonight, the internet goes in and out.  Maybe time to change to a cable hookup!

Anyway, my post for my local stamp store, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff which I normally post on Mondays is just getting posted now.

So, the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff idea for this week is
 "Let's make a scene!

Here is a close-up of the scene I created.

This is the card.

Stamps - Woodland Friends - Stampendous (CRS5087)
The stamp set includes a free stencil, which I used to
make the tree, and leaves.
Dies - Woodland Friends - Stampendous (DCS5087)
I made a long card 8 x 4 1/4 inches
Using the stencil, I sponged the tree, and leaves
along the left side of a white panel 71/4 x 4 inches.
Sponged in some green grass at the bottom
and some blue in the sky.  I used distress inks.
I colored with Copics,  then cut out the cute owl and fox.
I adhered the owls body on the tree limb.
and  the fox body along the bottom edge of the
panel.  I then positioned the heads where I
wanted them with an action wobbler.
Matted the panel onto a piece of black card
to finish.

This is a fun set, and the matching dies are so nice, no
fussy cutting and they cut right to the edge.

Thanks for stopping by today. Better late than never, right!
Have a great day.  Until later.............

Hi Sue wonderful card the images are brilliant and a terrific little scene. Bet you missed having no Internet, we are all so used to it now.
Never heard of Internet providers going on strike, that's a new one on me, hope you are well, Kate x

What a super fun card Sue!! Love those darling critters!! :) Wow...I didn't know anyone still used a land line for the internet any more! I think I've used cable for the last 8 years or more! Glad you are back up and running my friend! HUGS

This is fabulous Sue, such a great scene and adorable critters.
We have cable - it's much quicker and more reliable.

Your scene is so cute, Sue, and love the dimension.

It must have been frustrating to go without service for so long. We used to have phone-connection, too, but switched to cable for other reasons. It's been a great experience as our service has really only gone out twice since we did this. And once was because of a hurricane, so that doesn't really count in my book.

Let's hope you are up and stay up! LOL in the meantime, if you have a good cable provider, you might want to try it out!

huggers,

This is a darling image and colored great. Love It. Sorry to hear that you were "cut off" from the world this past week. Don't you just hate it when you are so used to be able to connect with everyone and then all of a sudden *** Nothing? Hope things stay up and running for you. I've been MIA trying very hard to get all my gardens done for the whole summer so I can just relax and enjoy them. Maybe have done a little bit too much work this past week as I am now stiff as a board and quite sore. Too Old Darn It!!!!! Enjoy the week.
