MERMAID TILDA

Hi, it's finally Friday!  And because of the Columbus Day Holiday in the US, some of you have a long weekend.........YAHOO!  We spent four hours in the doctor's office today.  It was my husbands first visit to the Doctor's office since his shoulder surgery.  Everything s looking good, and he's right on track.  They then sent him down the hall to the Physical therapy part for his first session there!  Long road ahead, but at least the surgery is over and he is on the mend.

Today's card is Mermaid Tilda.  I colored her with Copics and cut her out.  I mounted her on blue paper run through the sizzix water embossing folder and highlighted it with white pen.  Glittered her and the bubbles.  Covered her with a piece of Acetate.  Cut a circle from craft paper and distressed the edges and added brads to look like a porthole on a ship.  Popped the circle up over the image and mounted on a piece of woodgrain designer paper.  The basic card is yellow Bazzill, then a layer of craft paper, distressed.
Flowers are pulled from a silk stem, used small seashells for the centers.  Shell and seahorse are from K & Company.  Sentiment is by Stampabilities.

I'm entering this card in the challenge at Magnolia Down Under,#66, a color challenge using Blue, yellow, green and Kraft.

Hope you had a great Friday.  Enjoy the weekend!  Thanks for stopping by. Until later.........

I thought I was losing my mind, but the daily dose of Sue has seemingly gone to every other? I can't handle change!!! Glad to hear Rick is doing good, may I presume him to be the reason for the every other day postings instead of nightly, hmmmmm?

Well, this is fabulous!! Look who's swimming around, peeping in at all those swashbuckling deckhands? It's none other than mermaid Tilda, and she is coloured to perfection, I might add!! Dazzling embellishments too!!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Sue, your card is wonderful! Love your handmade shell, the porthole window looks SO real, and your colors are just fabulous! Hope DH does well - the PT was the worst part of having my shoulder re-built, but tell him to hang in there - it's well worth it! Hugs!
