BSS MONDAY IDEA - Stencil and Die Cuts

Welcome to the Buffalo Stamps and Stuff Monday Idea.

Today's idea is a card,  created using a beautiful stencil and wonderful die cuts.

The Stencil

The dies

The finished card

What I used

Stencil - Memory Box - Snow Flake Flurry 88528
Dies - Cottage Cutz - Reindeer Ornament CCE 186,
Memory Box, Peace Script 98638, Impression Obsession Pine Branch 021-N
Paper - White CS card base 5x7 inch, Glossy CS panel 4/2 x 6 1/2 inches
Medium Blue CS for ornament and scraps of same color for 1/4 inch border on
snowflake panel on each side., and for sentiment die.
Red Card stock for bow on ornament
White CS for pine branch
White Pearl Shimmering CS for behind the ornament
WOW Neutral Ultra Shimmer Embossing Powder
Red Tinsel Embossing Powder for bow (I have had this
in my stash for ages.  You can use Red Stickles instead.

How I did it

On the glossy card stock, center the snowflake flurry die.
Using a large stipple brush and Adirondack Stone Washed Blue ink, I
Stippled all around the die, leaving some white areas around the edges.
Without removing the die, I tapped Versamark clear ink on the die over
the blue ink.  This is so I can then remove the die and sprinkle the panel
with the WOW embossing powder and heat emboss next.

Adhere a panel or  scraps to each side of the snowflake panel with the
medium blue card stock leaving a 1/4 inch border on each side..

Die cut the ornament in medium blue and red.

Cut  the pearl white shimmery paper out, using the shape of the ornament.
Or trace it.  good side down on the back of the shimmery paper then cut out.
Trim to fit and adhere to the ornament back.

Cut just the ribbon from the red die of the ornament.  Tap with Versamark
clear ink and emboss with tinsel red embossing powder or use red Stickles
to cover the bow and let dry.  OR you could cut just the bow using red glitter paper.
Adhere over top of the bow on the ornament.

Cut the Pine branch out using white card stock  Tap with the Versamark and emboss
with the WOW embossing powder.

Adhere all the elements to the card as shown.

LOVE this stencil and the dies together, hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a great day.  Until later........

Fabulous card design, Sue! And what a pretty stencil! It looks beautiful with the ornament! Thank you for explaining how you achieved the intense coloring in the stenciled area, and then the stippled EP application! Beautiful! xo
