Good Monday Morning. And welcome in to the Buffalo Stamps and STuff Monday Challenge. Today's challenge is an old technique, but I hadn't done it in a long time so I thought we would revisit it. I used bleach (yep, the regular laundry chlorox stuff) to remove color from the paper instead of coloring the image. On the first card with the butterfly, I stamped the image (Inkadinkado) with Versafine ink and embossed with clear EP. Then, using a very small paint brush and some bleach I had put in a small glass jar, I just "colored" in with the bleach. Drying with the heat gun speeds up the process, but you don't want to go over your embossing too many times or it will burn it. You never know what you're going to get. If you go over it a second time, it lightens it further.
On the second card, I stamped with clear ink and embossed with a red and gold combo EP.

On the gold card, I again stamped in black and embossed with clear EP. I went over some of the leaves a second time to make some lighter for contrast. This image is by Great Impressions.
On the final card, I stamped the image (Penny Black) with black ink and embossed in clear EP.
I'm really liking the effect the bleach leaves and I especially like how the butterfly turned out.
Hope you have a chance to try this technique. Thanks for stopping by. Until tomorrow.
