HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE OVER 20 BOOKMARKS I MADE TO PUT IN THE LITTLE BOX I DECORATED WITH THE MIDNIGHT MADNESS SKETCH CHALLENGE #44.
THESE ARE BOOK PLATES. I STAMPED THE TOP NOTE DIE CUT FROM STAMPIN UP WITH THE "A GOOD BOOK" RUBBER STAMP AND ADDED THE WORDS FROM MY COMPUTER. I RAN EACH ONE THROUGH MY XYRON MACHINE SO THAT THEY ARE SELF ADHESIVE AND A BACKING CAN JUST BE PEELED OFF AND THEN THE BOOK PLATE CAN BE PLACED IN THE FRONT OF THE BOOK.
SOME GREAT NEWS......DESIGN TEAM CALL (three month term)...yep, you read that right. Priscilla has decided to add a design team member for a three month term. All the details are at the top of the Midnight Madness Blog, so get on over and read all about it!!!!
HERE IS THE BOX I DECORATED TO HOUSE THESE GOODIES USING THE SKETCH FOR THIS WEEK'S CHALLENGE.
When I received this stamp to use on this week's challenge I immediately knew I was going to make something my daughter Heidi could use in her first grade class. This is the year they learn to read, so I used the sketch to decorate the outside of the box then filled the box with the book plates and bookmarks. I wanted to use bright primary colors and added some reading and school related embellishments. The cute image of the little girl reading was colored with copics.

The word read on the book outline and the kids reading in the right border, and the apple are done on the cricut with the A Childs Year cartridge. The ruler was stamped on bright yellow paper with black ink and embossed. The alphabet twill ribbon I purchased at my LSS. The raised dots are from Martha Stewart.
What fun I had making little box of goodies up. Thank you Stamp and Create for this cute stamp. They are our weekly sponsor this week, and are offering two rubber stamps and a $15.00 gift certificate, which you can see on the Midnight Madness blog.
Remember, our monthly sponsor is Priscilla's brand new online store. She has offered up some wonderful prizes which you can see on the Midnight Madness blog.
Have a great Tuesday. Thanks for stopping by. Get on over to the MMSC for this week and don't forget, there is now a fancy version and a clean and simple version, your choice. You have to see what the design team has come up with this week, you won't be disappointed, some fantastic cards.
